Oxygen Vacancy?Rich La <sub>0.5</sub> Sr <sub>1.5</sub> Ni <sub>0.9</sub> Cu <sub>0.1</sub> O <sub>4–?</sub> as a High?Performance Bifunctional Catalyst for Symmetric Ammonia Electrolyzer

In this study, strontium and copper dual-doped La2NiO4 annealed in Ar (La0.5Sr1.5Ni0.9Cu0.1O4-?-Ar, LSNC-Ar) with K2NiF4 structure is strategically designed as an ammonia oxidation reaction (AOR) hydrogen evolution (HER) bifunctional catalyst for high-efficiency electrolysis. The selective substitution of lanthanum high content improves the electronic conductivity increases oxygen vacancy concentration. Doping Cu into B-site perovskite induces a synergistic interplay Ni Cu, leading to excellent AOR activity. Due HER activity doped La2NiO4, symmetric electrolyzer based on LSNC-Ar (SAE-LSNC-Ar) assembled investigated removal ammonia. addition, performance SAE comparable PtIr/C anode Pt/C cathode at low voltage. This first report using oxide efficient catalyst. SAE-LSNC-Ar shows ?95% efficiency real landfill leachate, which highest among electrochemical leachate. study paves attractive route explore materials highly AOR/HER catalysts electrolysis
